Mack notches Top-10 finish with World of Outlaws

Testing the waters against the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series, both Mack and Pierce McCarter visited Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Saturday evening for the Scorcher 100. With 27 Late Models entered, Mack and Pierce transferred into the B-Main after failing to transfer out of their heat races. Mack scored a second-place finish while Pierce grabbed the fourth-and-final transfer spot. With $10,000 on the line, Mack marched forward 12 spots in the 40-lapper to register an eighth-place finish. Pierce passed eight cars to cross the line in 14th.

Sunday's Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series event at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) fell victim to Mother Nature.

To close out the weekend on Monday at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.), Mack scored a fourth-place finish in the feature. He trailed Josh Henry, Trevor Sise, and Rusty Ballenger across the line with Bradley Lewelling coming in fifth. Pierce was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the second circuit.
