Winternationals bring Mack to East Bay Raceway Park

Mack McCarter followed the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon for the East Bay Winternationals. After missing a transfer spot by one position in his heat race, Mack locked his spot into the A-Main with a 10-lap consolation victory. For another $2,500-to-win A-Main on Friday, McCarter scored a second-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the feature. Running into more trouble in the 30-lapper, Mack was an early exit on lap 14.

On Saturday, Mack’s third-place finish in his heat lined him up on the ninth row for the finale.

With Mother Nature postponing the event to Sunday, McCarter withdrew from competition near the middles stages of the finale.
