Mack visits Volusia for Sunshine Nationals

Mack McCarter was back behind the wheel of his McCarter Brothers Racing No. 51 Late Model as the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series returned to competition at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) for the three-day Sunshine Nationals. With a stout field of 82 Late Models entered, McCarter took part in his time trial session and heat race but was a scratch from his B-Main due to rough track conditions.

After starting the night off with a heat race victory on Friday, a late rain shower postponed Mack’s feature to Saturday afternoon.

Continuous rain overnight and an unfavorable forecast postponed his feature to February 7th and cancelled Saturday’s program.
