Ford records sixth-place finish in MBR No. 83 with World of Outlaws at Boyd's

Teaming up for the doubleheader weekend with World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series, Jensen Ford took the McCarter Brothers Racing No. 83 entry into battle at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) on Friday for the Stateline Showdown. (Michael Moats photo)

Following the sixth-fastest qualifying effort in his group, Ford secured his spot into the redraw with a runner-up finish in his heat. Receiving the seventh-starting position for the preliminary feature, Jensen gained one spot in the 40-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.

On Friday, Jensen edged his way into the $20,000-to-win Stateline Showdown finale with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Starting in 16th, Ford jumped up two positions to place 14th.
