McCarter runner-up at Boyd's in the Gobbler
On Saturday, Mack McCarter entered the McCarter Brothers Racing No. 83 MasterSbilt Late Model into battle at Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series Gobbler.
To position himself for the $10,000 payday, McCarter moved up one spot in his heat race to start inside third row for the feature. McCarter settled in second-place and fought off some hard-charges from Michael Chilton before finishing runner-up. He trailed Dale McDowell while Cory Hedgecock, Michael Page and Michael Chilton rounded out the Top-5.
